New marketing manager for Acceldata

Data observability specialist Acceldata has appointed Girish Bhat, former head of Splunk and Sumo Logic, as senior vice president of marketing, leading the global marketing team.

Acceldata was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Palo Alto, California. Its Data Observability Cloud helps companies make their data systems “stable, agile and profitable”, promising “comprehensive visibility and insights to improve data performance, quality, reliability and cost”.

Bhat was head of marketing and product at Bay Area software company Wave Systems Corp for four years starting in January 2011 before joining Splunk as head of product and solution marketing. He left in 2019 to join MobileIron as vice president of marketing, and for nearly two years served as vice president of marketing for digital experience and security company Sumo Logic. He holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa and a Masters in Computer Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

In his new role, Bhat is responsible for all aspects of growth, corporate communications, branding, digital marketing, products and solutions.
