SCBI ready to help clubs grow through online courses

Football clubs and coaches in the Belfast area are invited to sign up for free online courses run as part of the Stadium Community Benefits Initiative.

SCBI, the social responsibility program run by the Irish FA Foundation in conjunction with Belfast City Council and the Department for Communities, is supporting online workshops to boost club development.

The first is a course titled Simple Steps to Creating a Club Development Plan on February 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Provided by Sport Northern Ireland, it will highlight the importance of club planning and provide information on the steps a football club can take to create their own development plan, including creating a vision, objectives and actions as well as the people to be involved.

The following week, SCBI is supporting a course called Equity in Sport and Physical Activity in association with UK Coaching. It takes place on February 21 at 7:30 p.m.

The workshop will help participants challenge inequitable situations and find ways to make changes in their coaching and environment to promote greater equality for all.
