SBI partners with NSE Academy to launch five online courses

The country’s largest lender, the State Bank of India (SBI), has announced a partnership with the NSE Academy, which promotes financial education as a life skill, through its strategic training unit. As part of this strategic partnership, learners can begin enrolling in SBI’s first five MOOCs on the NSE Knowledge Hub platform.

The courses are a good mix of theory and operational aspects that will allow learners to have a deeper understanding of banking fundamentals, compliance, lending standards and a host of other topics, according to SBI.

SBI said in a statement issued on February 15, 2022 that “These courses have been designed and developed by practicing bankers with rich experience and excellent academic credentials. The courses are suitably enriched with case studies and real life scenarios. , providing experiential learning for working professionals and learners.”

We believe that SBI’s online courses will enable learners to acquire sound knowledge of various aspects of banking and financial services and help them add value in their professional careers. Ms. Lakshmi R Srinivas, Chief General Manager and Head (Strategic Training Unit), SBI said, “We are delighted to bring our courses to learners across the country in association with NSE Academy. We are initially offering five courses in the aim to provide an understanding of the different aspects of bank-to-bank professionals, students and other learners.”

The 5 online courses are:

1) “Banking Fundamentals” provides basic banking knowledge.

2) “MSME Loans in Brief” is specially designed for SME entrepreneurs, banking professionals and will also be of interest to students.

3) “E-Payment System India” offers basic information on electronic and digital payment systems.

4) The Priority Sector Lending Standards course provides an overview of the importance of priority sector lending and guidelines.

5) The “NRI Business & Compliance” course provides learners with knowledge of the rules and regulations governing NRI Business and Compliance.

Course registration has started. The duration of the course varies from 3 to 6 weeks and the learners must devote 2 to 3 hours per week to the course.
