PTO adds two new directors for marketing and sales roles

The PTO has bolstered its marketing team by hiring Anja Pohl in the newly created position of Director, Growth Marketing, reporting to CMO Tim Godfrey. She joins Lucy Fitzgerald who has been appointed Director of Commercial Partnerships.

Anja Pohl lead the audience growth and performance marketing strategy at the PTO, including the development and implementation of the PTO’s digital product and fan engagement.

Previously, Pohl was Global Head of Digital Marketing for Tough Mudder and Spartan Race International. She has extensive experience in brand transformation and growth, with a specialization in digital and performance marketing.

Before Tough Mudder and Spartan Pohl led fashion digital marketing teams at Gap, Ecco Shoes and Carl Friedrik.

Reporting to CEO Sam Renouf, Lucy Fitzgerald joined PTO to lead rights management and delivery for its business partners.

Fitzgerald has nearly a decade of experience in the sports marketing industry for major agencies, CSM Sport & Entertainment and FUSE Sport & Entertainment.

She has supported strategy and rights activation across the professional sports landscape, including Dove Men+Care x Guinness Six Nations, Hardy’s Wine x ECB, Tudor Watches x Rugby World Cup, Vitality x Running World Cup, Pepsico x UEFA Champions League Final, Santander x Champions League.

Sam Renouf, Managing Director of PTO, said: “Building on the success of the inaugural Collins Cup, we are accelerating our plans by launching the PTO Tour in 2022.

“We are excited to further invest in our team with industry leaders of the caliber of Anja and Lucy. Community growth and business partnerships are key elements of the PTO plan, and the appointment of such experts will both ensure our continued growth and provide our partners with the best possible brand activations.
