MPW Marketing Uses Remote Work Model to Hire First Out-of-State Employees – Oneida Dispatch

Clinton, NY – MPW Marketing, a full-service advertising and marketing firm in Clinton, transitioned to optional remote work and recently welcomed its first two new employees who are not based in central New York.

MPW was founded in 2006 and, like many companies, transitioned to a remote working environment during the pandemic. This was initially a temporary change, but over time it became clear that the team appreciated and needed flexibility, and there was no negative impact on the quality of work. What MPW found was that the team’s performance improved. They say their employees haven’t lost a sense of connection with each other either.

Remote work is now optional for MPW employees, and they can choose to use the office when and if it suits them.

MPW recently announced the addition of New Jersey-based media buyer Paul Gabella and Georgia-based search engine optimization (SEO) specialist Ashley Randall. They are the first MPW employees from its growing team of 22 marketing experts not physically based in central New York.

“Now that our employees are primarily remote, it made sense to open up candidate screenings to a wider geographic radius,” said Matt Wilson, Founder of MPW. “It led us to
finding perfect fits like Ashley and Paul, who we wouldn’t have encountered otherwise.

Gabella joins MPW with eight years of experience in media planning and buying, project management and client support. Most recently, Gabella was senior media buyer at
Beacon Media Group in Mahwah, NJ for four years. He received a bachelor’s degree in journalism and another in creative writing, both from Montclair State University.

Randall comes to MPW with nearly 10 years of experience in business management, marketing, and SEO. Most recently, she was a content writer/contributor for The Odyssey Online and DEV Community. Randall has earned certifications in Digital Marketing, Google Analytics, Responsive Web Design, JavaScript Algorithms, and Data Structures.

“It’s an amazing thing to live in a time where we can onboard teammates like Ashley and Paul through technology,” Wilson said. “It’s a hiring approach that transcends geographic boundaries and gives us a better opportunity to find the specialized talent and experience we need in the team as we continue to grow.
