IIT Guwahati offers online courses in cybersecurity, AI and deep learning for working professionals
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will launch Postgraduate Certificate Program in Cyber Security and Postgraduate Certificate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. The programs aim to enhance the careers of working professionals.
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks and at least two years of professional experience in IT or software development would be eligible for the course. Candidates will receive certificates issued by Indian IIT Guwahati and Times TSW upon completion of the program.

These programs incorporate live, instructor-led sessions conducted over the weekends by top experts from IIT Guwahati and TimesTSW faculty members along with industry experts. Students will participate in a Capstone project where they will demonstrate the skills they have learned by solving real business problems and include a five-day immersive learning experience at the IIT Guwahati campus.
The Cybersecurity program is an 8-month course and aims to train learners for positions such as Network Security Specialist, Cybersecurity Analyst, Cybersecurity Architects, Cybersecurity Manager and leading to C- suite such as Director of Information Security.

The Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning program is a 9-month course focusing on topics such as Python programming, data analysis, neural networks, computer vision and image recognition, etc It will help candidates prepare for positions such as AI and ML engineer. , computer vision expert, software R&D engineer, cloud support engineer, among others.
Professor TG Sitharam, Director of IIT Guwahati, said, “The curriculum is meticulously developed with core and advanced subjects to provide our learners with comprehensive knowledge in these specialist areas in line with industry requirements. These programs will allow professionals to upgrade their skills, their knowledge of evolving technologies and to move upmarket in their professional career.
The course is offered in partnership with Times Professional Learning.
