Cleartrip Appoints Shubham Khurana as Head of Brand Marketing

Shubham will be responsible for brand marketing and media and will focus on renewing the brand identity and positioning.

Cleartrip, the online travel company, has announced the appointment of Shubham Khurana as Brand Head. In his new role, Shubham will be responsible for growing Cleartrip’s brand presence across the country and further expanding its footprint in new markets while enhancing the customer base.

Speaking of Shubham’s appointment, Kunal Dubey, Chief Marketing Officer at Cleartrip, said, “At Cleartrip, we are strong supporters of scaling a business that will not only disrupt the OTA space with innovations, but also build a brand loved and trusted by millions. Speaking about his recent appointment at Cleartrip, Shubham said: “I’m excited about this tenure as it brings me back to the industry, which I’m hugely passionate about. Travel is one of the most inspiring categories with some of the least inspiring communications to date, which is perhaps why there is no distinct brand of India in this space yet. There is a great opportunity to create a contemporary and exciting brand, breaking through the clutter of price and discount-driven communication that dominates the industry. Shubham joins Cleartrip with over 12 years of experience at companies like Facebook India, Unilever and startups like Treebo Hotels where he has been instrumental in accelerating brand growth strategies. At Unilever, he developed a deep understanding of consumers and business acumen, having managed their largest sales area, followed by a stint at the helm of their coffee brand, Bru. He joined Treebo in 2015 as Brand Manager, where he built the marketing infrastructure from the ground up. At Facebook, he managed India’s largest FMCG advertisers such as HUL, Nestlé, Mondelez, etc. He also conceptualized and built Facebook India’s strategy for Tier 2 & 3 cities. Shubham completed his Engineering from IIT-Roorkee and his MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur. Among his many achievements, he has also been recognized at major Indian business forums with awards such as ET Young Leader and IAMAI Digital Marketer of the Year.
